About the Artist:
Graduated from the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg and the Sophrology Caïcédienne in Alsace. Member of Artistes Indépendants d'Alsace and Artistes Lorrains, founding member of PAIR Rhénan and president of Art'PAIR international. Registered with the Maison des Artistes in Paris since 1989. Creates stained glass for public and sacred buildings and for private individuals in collaboration with Jean SALMON studios in Metz.

A symbolist and visionary painter, he has always created in a realistic style. In addition to commissioned works for public and sacred buildings, as well as for private clients in the fields of stained glass, frescoes and portraits, Bruno Altmayer's works are generally devoted to ecological and humanistic themes. Since his student days, he has referred to himself as a "painter-witness" to distinguish himself from realist painters who limit themselves to description, and to emphasize his notion of engagement born of what he calls a "second look" or "global vision."
