HIMBAD
A graduate of the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Hailed by Banksy as “Kaws’ successor.” Featured in the BBC documentary “The History of Graffiti.”
Following the success of his solo exhibition in London in 2017 (“Lucid Dreaming” at BSMT Gallery), which sold out all the works on display, Himbad’s works have been featured at venues including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Tate Modern London, MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), at Art Basel Miami, and in select institutional collections in China and Japan, as well as in private collections worldwide.
He collaborates with clothing and skateboard brands; he is also developing his own line of collectible toys modeled after characters he has created, such as Itsyu, Lmeow, Yol9, and Miss Chief.
He draws inspiration from Middle Eastern, Celtic, and Greek mythology. His works can be found in public spaces around the world, including New York, Miami, London, Berlin, the Middle East, Pakistan, Tokyo, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, Hangzhou, Poland, and Ibiza.
Since 2022, Himbad has been collaborating with one of the largest contemporary art galleries in the Asian market: Tang Contemporary Art, which has branches in Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, and Bangkok. It was at the latter location that Himbad’s solo exhibition “Orkys” took place in 2023.
