Julita WIENCH-KURŁOWICZ (b. 1957), Summer 24, 2024

Graduated from the State High School of Visual Arts in Gdynia-Orłowo and the
State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk. She defended her diploma at the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts in the studio of docent Jerzy Krechowicz in 1986. She made an annex to her diploma in artistic graphics (lithography)
under the direction of docent Czeslaw Tumielewicz. She does painting, drawing, book illustration and designs posters.
Author of 21 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. She took part in 80 collective exhibitions in Poland, Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania and Ukraine.
She participated in international art programs: "Kontakt Direkt" (Sweden-Poland 1999-2000), and "Soutine Dienos" (Lithuania-Poland 2005). Winner of awards for illustration, poster and drawing, in 2009 she received the
Grand Prix at the 6th Olsztyn Biennale of Fine Arts.
In 2007 she received an art scholarship from the Olsztyn City Council, and in 2009 an art scholarship from the Marshal of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Olsztyn. As part of this scholarship, she prepared
an exhibition of her paintings and drawings at the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg. In 2010, she received the Olsztyn Mayor's Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Visual Arts. In 2017 she was awarded the Badge of Merit for Polish Culture by the Minister of Culture and Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
