acrylic, crayon, ink / plywood, 43.8 x 48.3 cm
signed on the back in pencil: KRZYSZTOF MŁYŃCZAK | Warszawa
The artist received his diploma from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw under Prof. Leszek Mickoś in 2011. Associated with independent underground art, graffiti and street art. He co-founded the Beata art group in Opole, with which he made murals and organized independent exhibitions. As a rule, his works, both those on canvas and those on the street, are heavily trashy and irregular, seemingly unrefined and dirty, referring stylistically to the "old school." They can be seen on urban walls in Poland and Europe as well as in private collections. Painted on plywood, the small paintings combine elements typical of the grotesque with a surrealist view of the world. His experience with graffiti results in them operating with quick brushstrokes, using abbreviation and conventionality.
