Born in 1961, Faustyn Chelmecki is a painter, stage designer, performer and interior designer. He had his first exhibition in December 1980 In the 1980s, he was active in artistic communities together with
Maciej Wilski, Jerzy Czuraj and Elzbieta Mielczarek (Praffdata, Zgoda) In the nineties, near Olsztyn, he carried out his own project Independent Temple of Art", and in Olsztyn he joined and co-founded the FROM PUB Initiative.
performed, interacted... Experience with the From Pub and Praffdata initiatives initiated the creation of an alternative art business form. In 2010, Robert Brylewski invited the artist, along with Maciek Wilski, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band Kryzys. After this successful performance, the two artists decided to return to painting cooperation.
Maciej Wilski was born on 01.04.1956. From 1979 to 1984 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. And in 1984 he received with a very good result and honors the title of Master of Arts. Group's first informal exhibition in 1983, at BWA - Lublin.
In 1984, an individual exhibition at the DZIEKANKA Gallery.
. At that time I felt a strong need to combine the expression of music, painting movement. Out of this came the first painted performance - to which I invited, the artists participating in the plein-air held in Kraśnik (1984).
At the end of the 1980s, the artist temporarily stopped practicing art for more than 20 years.
In 2010 Faustyn Chelmecki invited the author to paint together during the 25th anniversary of the KRYZYS Team by painting a picture during the concert.
Since then, the artists have continued to paint pictures together.
