"Catcher in the Flowers" is an expressive story about corporeality, memory and the process of transformation after experiencing trauma. Tangled human and organic forms form a multi-layered structure in which the body becomes a carrier of emotions, tensions and recorded experiences. The dominant reds, oranges and yellows build up the emotionally intense character of the painting - symbolizing both violence and suffering, as well as the power of life, rebirth and the inner energy of survival. The dynamic painting matter and violent brush gestures enhance the sense of movement, restlessness and pulsating emotionality. The painting tells the story of a body that, despite its injuries, retains the capacity for regeneration, intimacy and finding light in the midst of darkness.
