Stefan Wegner completed his studies in Krakow where his lecturers included Władysław Jarocki, Ignacy Pieńkowski or Józef Pankiewicz. In 1930 he moved to Lodz where he became friends with Polish Constructivists Katarzyna Kobro and Władysław Strzemiński. Together with Strzeminski, among others, they shaped the School of Fine Arts in Lodz. The artist created in the cubist trend, but also drew on the artistic experience of the creator of the "Theory of Seeing."
