An EXTREMELY RARE Lithuanian denarius with the initial “O” after “Pogonia”—never before recorded, not even in the Ivanauskas catalog!
Photos of the denar were provided to Eugenijus Ivanauskas for publication in the latest catalog of Lithuanian coins, which is yet to be released.
The coin has been assigned the entry: 1K10-10 with a rarity rating of RRRR.
A beautiful piece, with mint luster and a delicate patina.
Minor imperfections in the metal.
We highly recommend it— EXTREMELY RARE!
Obverse: Pogoń, the letter O on the left
Reverse: Gediminas’ columns, with the Gothic letter K(R) in the center
