Czeslaw Czaplinski (born 1953 in Lodz, Poland) is a Polish artist photographer. Honorary member, full member and Artist of the Fotoklub of the Republic of Poland. Journalist and author of documentary films.
Since 1979 he has lived in New York and Warsaw. He is the founder of the photo agency "Photo Medium", established in 1981. He is the author, co-author of more than 40 albums (books). Czeslaw Czaplinski's photographs have been published many times in (among others) "The New York Times", "Time", "Vanity Fair", "The Washington Post", "Newsweek", "Twój Styl", "Viva", "Rzeczpospolita", "Wprost", "Foto".
He is the author and co-author of many photographic exhibitions, in Poland and abroad. He is the originator and organizer of the international photo contest "Royal Łazienki - Four Seasons". He is the organizer of meetings with prominent artists in the series "Artists in Łazienki", which included (among others): E.Braun, E.Bryll, J.Cygan, J.Głowacki, J.Hartwig, J.Hen, R.Olbinski, B.Tyszkiewicz, M.Walewska. He is a juror in numerous photographic competitions. His photographs are in the collections of: Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., TIME Inc. Picture Collection in New York, New York Public Library, Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in Chicago, National Museum in Warsaw, National Museum in Wroclaw, Art Museum in Lodz.
On September 29, 1999, Czeslaw Czaplinski was made an honorary member of the Photoclub of the Republic of Poland by the decision of the Chapter of the Photoclub of the Association of Creators.
