A striking value.
A 500 zloty banknote with perforation MODEL and a "single digit" number (0000009). Additionally, from the G series, described by Adam Szparla as rare (L6).
This is one of the so-called"Jaroszewicz designs". This was a distinctive group of circulation banknotes with initial, very low numbers given by the Bank to the collection of then Prime Minister Piotr Jaroszewicz (Prime Minister in 1970-1980).Before handing them over, in order to deprive them of their nominal purchasing value, the Bank stamped them with perforations (or overprints) MODEL. Today, despite the fact that they are not patterns in the strict sense, they are a very interesting (and at the same time rare) section of Polish paper money and are sought after by collectors.
