Oil, canvas pasted on cardboard; 24.5 x 28.3 cm.
On the back, the painting is marked with a stamp with a drawing of a cross and a ribbon with the inscription: "1833 | Józef Szermentowski | 1876".
The stamp was commissioned by Wojciech Gerson in connection with Szermentowski's posthumous exhibition at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1877. It was stamped on the back of - often unsigned - paintings by the artist exhibited at the time in a group of 51 sketches.
