gouache, watercolor, paper; 42 x 30 cm;
signed at the bottom: lenica
Provenance:
private collection, Poland
The work is mounted on museum-grade glass.
The vertical composition is organized by a rich palette of blacks, grays, and whites. The forms overlap, expand, and contract, creating the impression of a structure undergoing constant transformation. The ochre-olive background is not neutral: broad, swirling brushstrokes introduce movement into the work’s space. This is an example of a form that cannot be captured in a single stable state—it seems to be simultaneously emerging, disintegrating, and reorganizing itself.
