signed, inscribed on back; "POP ART PRINCESS LEIA" / by / The PopArtPrincess
Designer, painter and illustrator working under the pseudonym The PopArtPrincess.
Her art combines pop culture aesthetics with the language of a contemporary icon - the artist
juxtaposes elements of mass culture with motifs of luxury and glitz, creating
subversive, intensely colorful narratives about the modern world. In her
realizations she reaches for glitter, plastic, plexiglass, Swarovski crystals or glass and
digital components, building a recognizable, distinctive style.
In 2026, her work will be sent to the moon as part of Moon Mission II,
carried out by Lady Rocket, Copernic Space, NASA and Firefly Aerospace. This
one of the first Polish artistic endeavors to participate in
commercial space exploration projects, highlighting the growing presence of
of art in new technological spaces.
The work of The PopArtPrincess has been presented at numerous exhibitions
individual and collective exhibitions, and her works can be found in private and
institutional collections in Poland and abroad.
The work is from a series devoted to icons of pop culture, in which the artist gives well-known
figures with a new, subversive status as contemporary "pop art princesses." In The
Pop Art Princess Leia the classic image of the "Star Wars" heroine is
transformed into a decorative, graphic composition, combining comic book aesthetics with the
the artist's signature glitter and jewelry detail. Brocade accents,
gold borders and stylized backgrounds emphasize conscious exaggeration and glamour,
inscribing the figure of Leia into the visual language of contemporary icons of mass culture.
The presence of R2-D2 and Rebellion symbols keeps the work in dialogue with the original
universe, while maintaining the humorous and slightly ironic tone typical of the work of
The PopArtPrincess.
