John II Casimir, Szóstak 1661 GBA, Lviv – very rare
Type IV (Ciura) bust – rare.
The Ślepowron coat of arms (of Jan Kazimierz Krasiński—Grand Treasurer of the Crown) is divided by a circumferential inscription on the obverse.
On the reverse, on either side of the shield bearing the Snopek coat of arms (the coat of arms of the Vasa family), are the letters G B – A (the initials of Giovanni Battista Ammureti—the leaseholder of the Lviv mint).
A variant featuring simple coats of arms with a thick, double outline.
The Vasa coat of arms is depicted in an oval cartouche. A crown above the cartouche—a rare feature.
A variant with an inscription featuring the king’s title “IOAN CASI … POL & SVE” in the border on the obverse and “… ARGEN SEX REG POL …” in the border on the reverse.
Arabic numeral 1 in the denomination, V1 – rare.
The Snopek coat of arms is tilted away from the vertical in a wide cartouche—rare.

Edge wear and slight off-center alignment, but a beautifully preserved coin. Brilliance and plenty of mint luster. A very rare variety. A rare coin that is difficult to find on the collector’s market.
